The Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Service Selection Board (UPSESSB) conducts the UP TGT exam to recruit science teachers for secondary schools (Classes 9 & 10).

To be eligible for the UP TGT Science exam, candidates must meet the following educational criteria:
If you studied Physics and Mathematics in your final year:
You are eligible to apply for the UP TGT Science position as long as your qualification includes Physics as one of the subjects.
If you dropped Mathematics and studied only Physics and Chemistry:
You are still eligible to apply for the UP TGT Science position because the combination of Physics and Chemistry qualifies you for Science teaching.
Minimum Age: 21 years
Maximum Age: No upper age limit for general category candidates.
Note: Age relaxation applies for reserved categories as per UP government rules.
Candidates must be: An Indian citizen OR
A Tibetan refugee who settled in India before January 1, 1962, OR
A person of Indian origin who migrated from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, or East African countries and permanently settled in India.
Candidates must be mentally and physically fit for teaching responsibilities.
There should be no criminal record against the candidate.
Candidates must fulfill reservation criteria (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH) as per government guidelines.
The selection process involves: Written Exam: Objective-type questions based on Science, General Knowledge, and Pedagogy.
Merit List: Based on exam performance and weightage for academic qualifications.
Document Verification: Candidates must provide original documents for verification.
